#25 Colour analysis NYFW & LFW

Here is an interesting thing EditD made. They compiled the colors of every single outfit during the different two different Fashion weeks (London and New York) and summed up everything.

Here is how they made this.

We perform colour analysis of every show to assess which colours are prevalent quantitatively. The charts above show colour usage at New York Fashion Week and London Fashion Week, organised by hue. The size of the colour slice represents the frequency with which it was used. The outer ring maps individual colours that made an appearance, while the inner ring summarises the key colour trends, giving a quick reference as to which colours were hottest. Essentially, the bigger the representation on our chart, the bigger the colour will be for SS12.

#5 (capsule) New York

Brands, in order to gain exposure and find new stockists regularly attend tradeshows.

One of the best in the United States when it comes to clothing and accessories is (capsule).

There are also (capsule) tradeshows in Las Vegas, Berlin and Paris, which I will review later.

As I am not part of this industry (yet), and I do not live in NYC, the only way for people like me to get an insight of what’s going on in the business is to review each of the brands thanks to their websites (when they have one).

Of course, being able to see everything in a single place, talk to the designers, touch the products would be way better, but, hey, you have to do with the means at hand.

Here are my ten favorites, in no particular order.
